Marsden Christmas Light Switch On

This Saturday 6th December, you are invited to the 2008 Christmas Lights Switch on in Marsden, a special day of events between 10am and 9pm.

The event will be as exciting and enjoyable as taking a cruise on a breathtaking roadway using luxury cars from car rental dublin.  So what are you waiting for?” Come and join a wonderful day’s entertainment of Xmas activities.

This Saturday 6th December, you are invited to the 2008 Christmas Lights Switch on in Marsden, a special day of events between 10am and 9pm.  Come and join a wonderful day’s entertainment of Xmas activities.

Between 10-12noon and 4pm-7pm, there is a United Church Xmas Tree Carnival and refreshments.

From 1pm to 4.30pm, a bumper Xmas Fayre at Marsden Mechanics Hall with attractions including Childrens activities, crafts, cakes, & preserves, local history and festive refreshments. Also Santa’s secret room (Kirkwood Hospice) where children can buy a present for someone they love and wrap it for £1!

There is Free face painting and storytelling at the library. The actual big switch on is between 5pm and 7pm with the switch scheduled for 6pm, Please note this is a no firework event but other events include the band playing, Morris Dancers dancing, Jack Frost and his elves, Santa’s sleigh, Hot choc and pancakes, Danish Frikadeller, hot mulled wine and spiced apple juice, pryropixies fire dancing and singing ‘ the fairytale of Marsden’

The day will round off from 6.30pm to 9pm with a rousing and very festive. Children’s Xmas disco and refreshments at Band ‘Ole.
