Beat the Credit Crunch – bring the whole family to Penistone Cinema, and enjoy a first class movie, or live event, at prices cheaper than your usual multiplex.
Adult tickets are just £4.50 for all seats, and £3.50 for children. And we’re just a pleasent 20-minute drive from the centre of Holmfirth to our large free car park right next to the cinema. There is also plenty of onstreet parking nearby.
The Penistone Paramount dates back to 1915 when it was opened as the Town Hall Cinema, and has been showing the best in big screen entertainment ever since! Our fully licensed bar is situated off the stalls area of the auditorium and is open before each evening show and after live events. That’s right, enjoy a drink from the bar while watching the big film!
Showing from this Friday, September 4, is The Time Traveller’s Wife, a powerful and touching love story which follows Claire and her husband Henry, who suffers from a genetic disorder which causes him to involuntarily travel back and forth through time.
Showing from September 12 is the action-packed Public Enemies when the Feds try to take down notorious American gangsters John Dillinger, Baby Face Nelson and Pretty Boy Floyd during a booming crime wave in the 1930s. Johnny Depp stars.
We also have live events at The Paramount. On the big stage this Saturday, September 5, is Patience or Bunthorne’s Bride. The Savoyards present Alistair Domkin’s touring production of Gilbert and Sullivan’s Patience.
More details of these and forthcoming events, plus a map and directions how to fine us, see the feature packed and easy to use Penistone Paramount website, where you can set up an automatic update to remind you of the next big attractions. We look forward to seeing you soon.
